Getting to INSEAN

INSEAN is located in the South-West suburb of Rome, just outside the Large Beltway (GRA) and close to the Via Pontina (SS148). INSEAN adress is: Via di Vallerano 139. Maps below provide directions to get to INSEAN and a picture of its position relative to the two major airports of Rome (Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" airport and Ciampino "Giovan Battista Pastine" airport).

How to get to down-town Rome from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports

Main airport of Rome is "Leonardo da Vinci" (FCO), located in Fiumicino, South-West of Rome. It is linked to down-town Rome through a dedicated no-stop line: the train gets to Termini (the central railway station in Rome) in about 30 minutes. The cost is € 14,00. As an alternative, one can take the FM1 railroad (toward Fara Sabina): the train stops several times within the town. It is operated during weekdays (every 15 minutes) and holidays (every 30 minutes).The ticket costs € 8,00.

On the web site of Trenitalia, entering the departure (Fiumicino) and arrival statuins, it is possible to select departure time, view details of route and exits, and buy the ticket on line. The link is quick and comfortable, but is not operated overnight.

From Ciampino "Giovan Battista Pastine" airport (CIA) it is possibile to get to Termini by taking a shuttle-bus to the Metro Line A ("Anagnina" station), or a shuttle-bus to Ciampino railways station where there are frequent departures to Termini.

 

How to get to INSEAN from down-town Rome - (Metro Line B)

Take Metro Line B (toward Laurentina) and get off at "Laurentina". On the square before the station (Piazzale G. Douhet) there are Taxis. From "Laurentina" to INSEAN the cost is around € 20. Since Taxi driver may not know INSEAN, it may be helpful to show him the above maps.

Otherwise, it is possible to get off at "EUR Fermi" and, on viale America, to get the bus no. 071 (service starts at 6.35 am, every 25 minutes), to get off at INSEAN main gate.

Information on public transportation in Rome

Rome has an integrated system of public transport: a unique ticket allows one using bus, metro and tram. Tickets are on sale at stations' ticket counters or automatic machines (but also at newsstands and tobacconists) and must be purchased before getting on transportation. A regular BIT (integrated time ticket) holds for 100 minutes and costs € 1,50. A daily ticket costs € 6,00. A weekly card costs € 24,00. A further ticjet is requested for the Fiumicino airport to down-town link It has to be validated on the track, before getting on train.
