Propulsive systems

The activities related to this research area aim at the development of novel experimental and theoretical/numerical approaches to analyze and optimize state of the art, as well as innovative, naval propulsors. Beside propulsor performance analysis and prediction, all the physical phenomena related to simple to complex propulsive systems are of interest. Specifically, the research activity is focused on propeller wake evolution, cavitation, erosion, induced vibrations and acoustic emissions.
